Darren M. McClellan - Senior Pastor 

 

Rev. McClellan was born in Pensacola, Florida and raised in nearby Fort Walton Beach, Florida. During high school, he was introduced to the love of God in Christ by the youth and music ministries of Shalimar United Methodist Church, which subsequently nurtured his call to ministry and a life of grace. Following his graduation from Choctawhatchee High School, he pursued his undergraduate degree at the University of Florida (B.A.), studied at the Candler School of Theology, Emory University (M.Div.), and completed his doctoral work at Princeton Theological Seminary (D.Min.) in May of 2010. He has been a member of the Alabama-West Florida Conference since 1999, and is delighted to be a part of the “field” here at Perdido Bay United Methodist Church.

 

Darren and his beloved wife Kristi have three children, Joshua (b. 12/03), John (b. 1/06) and Maxwell (b. 11/12).  For leisure, he enjoys playing with his boys, sharing a meal with family and friends, listening to good jazz, and laughing at the absurdity of his own golf game.
