And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.
With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. Ephesians 6:18
All are invited to join us for a time of faith and fellowship as we bring a fresh perspective to prayer with a variety of topics and speakers. Discussion offers time to share and to enhance your private prayer life, to bring prayer to life and life to prayer. Gatherings are on the third Thursday of month at 11 am in the Community Center, as scheduled.

I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession
and thanksgiving be made for all people. 1 Timothy 2:1
Intercessory Prayer is simply praying to God on behalf of someone who can not pray for themselves, or praying on behalf of someone who needs additional prayers in time of great need. Join the Intercessors every Tuesday morning at 8 am in the Worship Center Prayer Room to pray for those requests made each Sunday on the “prayer request” cards and those in the Prayer Request Boxes.

They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship,
to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Acts 2:42
During each service on Sunday morning, partners are in the Prayer Room praying that God's Word reaches those in the congregation in a way meaningful to each of them. We pray for our pastor as he delivers God's word, we pray for the congregation, for our teachers, that programs in the church are as God would have them be, for all ongoing missions in the church. A "Prayer Guide" is provided.

When you pray, go into your room, close the door,
and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Matthew 6:6
Located in the Prayer Room, the library features books for and about prayer. Take a book home, bring a book in for others, or stay for awhile and pray. The Prayer Room is open most days for private prayer with a selection of books to assist with your prayer focus. If you wish to borrow a book, you are invited to do so and return when you are done with it. Do you have prayer books you think might help others? If you wish to donate them, just leave them in the Prayer Room and the members of the Prayer Team will put them on the bookshelf.

For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds;
and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. Matthew 7:8
Ask and let the Intercessors pray for you. Prayer is the method by which we can praise and bless God, and ask for His help in our lives. We pray to God because we see the need for His wisdom, His strength, His guidance and His healing in our lives. If you wish to submit a prayer request during the week, the boxes are located in the Community Center and the Worship Center.

He took the children in his arms,
placed his hands on them and blessed them. Mark 10:16
This prayer mission involves praying for the children (infant to HS) of PBUMC. An interested member receives an envelope with a picture and first name of a child, along with a list of prayers. The mission is to keep this child in your prayers over the next year, or longer, if you choose.

I have not stopped giving thanks for you,
remembering you in my prayers. Ephesians 1:16
Each week throughout the year we pray for a few people/families of our congregation. Each person/family receives a postcard in the mail prior to their week of prayer and a list is provided in the PBUMC monthly newsletter. Then during their week, the Intercessors and other prayer partners lift them in prayer for the love, comfort and guidance of Christ Jesus.
